My dear friend Barbara Hall at Whitney Senior Center of St. Cloud and Shalom Mama at Simple Natural Living are two of many DIY consultants locally and globally who have been sharing the what, why and how of home made laundry detergent. I have explored, experimented, researched and weighed the facts to find the best solutions for my laundry room. Almost all recipes contain Borax-- which some consider worrisome because of possible toxicity and/or harmful mining practices. So I asked Earth Talk, at Scientific American-- and Crunchy Betty. These two trusted sources convinced me to give it a try. My experience tells me that it works best for me both in laundry and in my dishwasher. It is gentle on you, your family, and your pocket book. It is mined in an ecologically responsible manner with two disclosures:
- Test for allergic reactions and/or sensitivities.
